Introduction to the course.

Currently, most law firms use some version of Microsoft PowerPoint to create presentation slides when necessary to pitch to potential clients or when presenting evidence in trial. And, while most lawyers have a basic working knowledge of PowerPoint, many lawyers have do not know how to use functions in PowerPoint beyond adding basic text and possibly adding a few visuals to the slides.

This course has been specifically designed with legal professionals in mind and will provide useful advice on how to use basic functions in PowerPoint such as creating slides from a template, adding screenshots and SmartArt to more complex functions such as adding audio and video functions.

In order to contextualise the information being learned, participants will be asked to create different type of presentation slides, from pitching to a potential client and presenting evidence in court to creating slides for teaching.

While there are many different versions being used by legal professionals, this course will be based on the 2013 and 2016 version of Microsoft PowerPoint. As such, some of the visuals and videos may slightly differ from your current version, but they should be similar enough that you can follow along.

We hope that you find this course helpful and useful in creating and delivering dynamic and professional slides in your place of work.
